Summer Festival - Week Four!
SERENADES is hot off the press!
On July 12, 2008, Maestro James Bolle conducted this season's first orchestra concert!  The CDs are on sale at the box office area at each of our events, and we can't keep up with the sales!  You can relive the gorgeous moments of hearing the beauty of Mozart, Stravinsky, Debussy and Brahms.  Ah, Maestro - thanks for the memories!

This Week is the busiest of the summer at Monadnock Music. Pianist Konstantin Lifchitz returns with Maestro James Bolle to the Town House in Peterborough for an orchestra concert of some of the most popular music in the repertoire:
Beethoven's "Pastoral" 6th Symphony, Grieg's Piano Concerto, and Weber's Overture to Oberon.

Sunday's Chamber Masterpieces concert features Franz Schubert's delightful "Trout" Quintet, along with Britten's Phantasy for Oboe and Strings and Debussy's incomparable Sonata for flute, viola and harp (note the change from the previously scheduled String Quartet of Debussy).

Free concerts are in four locations: Jaffrey Center Meetinghouse, Sullivan United Congregational Church, Marlow's Jones Hall, and Milford Town Hall. Some of
the most beloved chamber music is in store, including Schubert's Octet, Brahms' Sextet in B-flat, and Mozart's Wind Octet in E-flat.
 
 07/30/08, Wednesday, 8PM - Parthenia (a consort of viols).  When Music and Sweet Poetry Agree: The Musical Worlds of Shakespeare, Donne and Blake.  With actor Paul Hecht and soprano Ellen Hargis.
Parthenia (a consort of viols) is: Beverly Au, bass viol; Lawrence Lipnick, tenor viol, recorders; Rosamund Morley, treble viol; Lisa Terry, bass viol.
