From our Music Directors, Jonathan Bagg and Laura Gilbert:
This Week is the busiest of the summer at Monadnock Music. Pianist Konstantin Lifchitz returns with Maestro James Bolle to the Town House in Peterborough for an orchestra concert of some of the most popular music in the repertoire:
Beethoven's "Pastoral" 6th Symphony, Grieg's Piano Concerto, and Weber's Overture to Oberon.
Sunday's Chamber Masterpieces concert features Franz Schubert's delightful "Trout" Quintet, along with Britten's Phantasy for Oboe and Strings and Debussy's incomparable Sonata for flute, viola and harp (note the change from the previously scheduled String Quartet of Debussy).
