ALYSSA DALY

FRENCH HORN

Alyssa Daly is a freelance hornist and teacher in the Boston area. She received a Master of Music degree from the New England Conservatory and a Bachelor of Musicdegree from the Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music. Her primary teachers wereCharles Kavalovski, Michael Hatfield, and Steven Gross. Her love of chamber music has led her to perform with the Boston Chamber Music Society, Chameleon Arts Ensemble, New England Brass, Epic Brass, Essex Chamber Music Players, St. CeciliaChamber Orchestra, and the Cincinnati Chamber Orchestra. She has also appeared onfaculty recitals at SUNY Albany and the New England Conservatory. In the Orchestra,she has performed with Boston Pro Arte, Boston Modern Orchestra Project, Boston Philharmonic, Portland Symphony, Springfield Symphony, Rhode Island Philharmonic, Nashua Symphony, Granite State Symphony, and the Albany Symphony. In the pits ofthe ballet and opera she has been heard with Boston Ballet, Cincinnati Ballet, OperaBoston, Glimmerglass Opera Company, Opera North, National Lyric Opera, Boston Midsummer Opera, and the Berkshire Opera Company. In a commercial setting Alyssa has enjoyed performing with Frank Sinatra Jr., Joni Mitchell, Diana Krall, Brian Wilson, and Josh Groban. One of her favorite places to be heard these days is in the pits ofbroadway shows in Boston, MA and Hartford, CT. She enjoyed touring the U.S. andCanada with the broadway favorite, Les Miserables. When at home in Beverly, MA she had the opportunity to play many shows at the award winning North Shore MusicTheater.
