The iO Quartet has most recently been named the 2006-2008 Billy Joel Graduate String Quartet in Residence at SUNY Purchase. Since its formation in 2005, the group has performed at the Kneisel Chamber Music Festival, Bargemusic, The Bard Graduate Center, NYU and throughout Maine, Kentucky, the Midwest, and the Philippines. With degrees from the Juilliard School, the Oberlin Conservatory, the Cleveland Institute of Music, and Manes College of Music, the iO Quartet has coached with George Sopkin, Laurie Smukler, Ira Weller, Calvin Wiersma, and Julia Lichten.
